Red Dead Redemption 2 players think they’ve found the definitive way to play the game, and it’s worth trying for yourself.

In case you needed another reason to replay Red Dead Redemption 2, some players reckon the game is much better when you play it in first-person of all things.

Take a look at Red Dead Redemption 2 below.

Rockstar Games really outdid itself with the second Red Dead Redemption game, featuring an open world that’s still a joy to explore over five years after it was released.

However if you thought the sights and the fights were best experienced in third-person, some players think first-person is the real way to go.

In a Reddit thread one player, Eglwyswrw, made a post saying first-person feels like an entirely different game, and while it “takes a while to get used to,” it’s well-worth another playthrough.

A surprising number of fans agreed, many of which urged players to give it a go for themselves, arguing it’s more immersive that way.

“It’s like Cyberpunk 1899. That’s kinda interesting. I will try it. Usually I don't like FPS games but I'll try anyway," said one.

“After doing a whole play through in FP, I can’t go back. It makes it so much more immersive. Sometimes it’s a little clunky, but it’s worth it in my opinion," added another.

“I did a first person playthrough and yes it makes the play through feel so much more immersive, I guess is the right word," read one comment.

Of course, the only problem with first-person in Rockstar games is the player’s movement speed, which is unreasonably fast to accommodate how quickly you need to move the camera.

Nevertheless I’ll definitely be giving this a go the next time I play Red Dead Redemption 2, though I’m not looking forward to first-person wildlife attacks.
