Red Dead Redemption 2 players warned they've 48 hours to grab free downloads

Tick tock goes the clock

For those getting back on the horse again in Red Dead Redemption 2, there’s a limited amount of time to claim some free downloads.

To be exact, you have 48 hours before these freebies hightail it outta here like a thief trying to escape the law.

Even without the opportunity to grab yourself some free downloads, there are already numerous reasons to replay Red Dead Redemption 2.

As well as exceptional storytelling pulling at our heartstrings in a secret ending that changes how we view the game, there’s also major secrets hiding in the game’s starting area if you know where to look.

In short, it’s not difficult to keep Arthur busy.

Still, we can soon tire of searching for concealed details, which is where the importance of free downloads from Rockstar Games come into play.

Over the next 48 hours, players can score themselves 50 Shotgun Slugs; all they need to do is turn in three bounties.

You won’t get your rewards right away, however, as it can take up to 72 hours after completion for those freebies to appear.

Not that there’s any harm in delayed gratification.

These aren’t the only free RDR2 downloads available, but they are the ones with the tightest deadline.

You can browse the remainder of the downloads on Rockstar Games' website.

Having extra ammo will definitely come in handy when exploring with Arthur, as it turns out there are still plenty of creepy finds lurking out there in the wilderness.

One such secret is a hidden cabin that has given fans the willies.

There are more than spooks to be found though, especially with new open-world events being added to the experience to help keep it fresh.

Time is ticking, folks. If you intend to claim these free downloads, you need to do so within the next 48 hours.

Go exploring after you’ve secured them, not before – you don’t know what’s out there.
