Red Dead Redemption 2 mod adds new open-world events to discover

More random events

Still playing Red Dead Redemption 2? Want even more content to keep you going for hundreds more hours? There’s a mod for that.

To be honest, it feels like there’s a mod for everything in Red Dead Redemption 2, but this specific one will give you random encounters and events that will help the game feel a bit more dynamic.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is bringing back hordes of people to check out the new content

The mod, created by ‘crossed99’ introduces three event types that can be stumbled upon while out exploring.

The first is a group of bounty hunters trying to capture someone and you have the chance to step in and be the hero.

The second event, while smaller scale, will add random fist-fights between members of the public, which is very ‘wild west’ if you ask me.

Lastly, the third event will add an increased number of firefights between rival gangs, so chances of catching a stray will go up if you’re exploring the wrong side of town.

The mod is available from Nexus Mods and is proving popular with fans who want a bit more life in the quieter parts of the open world.

While this mod isn’t adding to the missions or characters, it should give a more lived-in feel to the world, although much of the map is filled with delightful little secrets and hidden details to seek out.

However, if you’re on one of several playthroughs and want to spice things up a little, then the mod will ensure that there’s more action to be found.

Red Dead Redemption 2 still draws in thousands of players every month as it’s such an engaging title with so much to do.

Many would call the game a masterpiece and the fans are hungry for more cowpokes and adventures, hoping for a sequel from Rockstar Games to be announced in the coming years.
