September is going to be a sad month for PlayStation Plus subscribers, as 11 games are leaving the service, some of which will surprise you.

It’s not a surprise that services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass have to lose a few games every now and then, but it sure as hell stings when they do, especially if you’re actually interested in playing them one day.

Unfortunately that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, so check out what games are leaving Sony’s subscription service in September below.

The most shocking out of all of them is Horizon: Forbidden West, as it’s not every day that you see a first-party PlayStation game get removed from the service.

Whether this is because there’s something planned for the IP or whether it’s just decided it’s been long enough is unknown, though it’d be great to see the Complete Edition version get added in its stead.

Alien Isolation is also getting removed, which again is a bit of a weird move considering the hype surrounding the new Alien: Romulus film.

Midnight Suns, the Marvel game that sees players control a variety of supernatural and super-powered heroes/villains is also leaving, which I’m especially annoyed about since I was actually planning to give this one a go soon.

The final games leaving the service are Nier Replicant, Spiritfarer, Star Ocean The Divine Force, Cloudpunk, Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness, Star Ocean Till The End Of Time, Star Ocean The Last Hope and Star Ocean First Departure R.

As you can expect fans aren't pleased, with one saying "pulling Horizon Forbidden West is weird. Fantastic showcase of one of their first party studios and Horizon LEGO is coming out soon."

"Alien Isolation gets removed just as interest grows because of the movie..." said another.

You've got until September to give the above games a go, after they're gone like the wind.
