Each and every month, Sony adds a plethora of new titles to its PlayStation Plus subscription service. However, as new titles arrive, many also leave and it seems we’ll soon be missing some absolute bangers.

Recently, Sony controversially introduced a price hike for PlayStation Plus, a move that did not go down well with the community. Reportedly, some users even saw an increase in price of a whopping 600%. Worst still, it didn't help matters that this controversial price hike was announced alongside some quite underwhelming games for PS Plus Essential September 2023.

So, what games will be leaving PlayStation Plus, I hear you ask? In total, 16 games will be leaving the service and it includes the critically acclaimed The Quarry, Far Cry 4 and 5, The Crew, The Medium, as well as a few Yakuza games and more. Thankfully, there is some good news, because you have at least until 17 October 2023 to play the games mentioned below before they leave Sony’s subscription service.

The PS Plus games that will be leaving the service next month include:

  • Astebreed
  • Clouds & Sheep 2
  • Far Cry 4
  • Far Cry 5
  • Gal*Gunvolt: Burst
  • Goosebumps: The Game
  • Inside
  • Limbo
  • Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker
  • The Crew
  • The Medium
  • The Quarry
  • TorqueL
  • Yakuza 3 Remastered (PS Premium)
  • Yakuza 4 Remastered (PS Premium)
  • Yakuza 5 Remastered (PS Premium)

In our review of The Quarry, we said: “The sheer number and the intricacy of the possible paths have tempted me to see what happens if you choose a different course of action, and the Easter eggs are too satisfying to discover. There’s even an Until Dawn Easter egg, for the love of Mike! For fans of schlocky yet satirical horror games and films, The Quarry is not one to miss.”

In more positive PlayStation Plus news, a latest ‘freebie’ is considered to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time, and the October offerings include well over one thousand hours of gameplay.

PlayStation Plus is available now on PS5 and PS4 over three tiers, Essential, Extra and Premium.
