PlayStation Plus is the gift that keeps on giving for those who subscribe to Sony’s subscription service, well, at least for the most part.

Each month subscribers have a new plethora of titles to enjoy regardless of whether they join the PS Plus Essential, Extra or Premium tiers. Obviously, the higher the tier that you subscribe to, the more games and benefits you will have.

Check out the NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 trailer below!

For example, PS Plus Essential is basically the same service prior to a 2022 revision that offers a small selection of monthly games as well as online gaming, discounts and bonus DLC. Whereas PS Plus Extra offers everything that is included in the Essential tier, but with a lot more PS5 and PS4 games to choose from. As for Premium, you’ll get everything that is included in the previous two tiers, but with additional PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP games as well as cloud streaming and trials.

Recently, the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium September 2023 games were announced and it includes some absolute bangers, especially if you’re a fan of RPGs. So, with this month's offerings being very RPG-heavy, it makes sense that subscribers will have even more hours of enjoyment to immerse themselves in.

According to ‘How Long to Beat’, the headline titles with plenty of hours of gameplay to offer include NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 with an estimated completion time of 68 hours, Star Ocean: The Divine Force with an estimated completion time of 81 hours, and Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness with an estimated completion time of 117 hours.

What’s more, with a selection of strategy games included in PS Plus September 2023, those accumulated hours have received an added boost thanks to Sid Meier’s Civilization VI (308 hours) and Planet Coaster: Console Edition (77 hours). In total, just on the games included in the Extra and Premium tiers, subscribers can expect well over 950 hours of gameplay goodness.

However, if you subscribe to the Premium tier, which includes classic games from the PS1 and PSP era, titles from the Star Ocean series as well and Dragon’s Crown, an additional 500+ hours to the grand total.

Oh, and we nearly forgot about the three games included in the Essential tier. The three games included in PS Plus Essential September 2023 are Saints Row (47 hours), Black Desert: Travelers Edition (68 hours) and Generation Zero (87 hours), which add a further 200 hours. So if we total up the estimated gameplay hours for all three PlayStation Plus tiers, subscribers can expect an incredible 1,700 hours. Yikes!

In related news, Sony has recently increased the price of its PlayStation Plus subscription service, and it’s not gone down well with the community. At least subscribers can take advantage of these free DLC packs, regardless of the tier.
