Although it is safe to say that the Uncharted series is associated with treasure hunter Nathan Drake, another pair of equally interesting protagonists share his stage in an incredible exclusive that many players have seemingly slept on.

Released in 2017, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a standalone expansion for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and tells the story of series regulars, Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross as they venture to India’s Western Ghats to locate the Golden Tusk of Ganesh.

“In Chloe’s greatest journey yet, she must confront her past and decide what she’s willing to sacrifice to forge her own legacy,” reads the official synopsis. After first appearing in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Chloe is one of the franchise’s most iconic characters and rivals Nathan Drake himself as one of the best treasure hunters.

Alongside her, Nadine Ross first appeared in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as the fearsome leader of a paramilitary organization. Now a gun-for-hire, Nadine teams up with Chloe and sets off on an epic adventure in this PlayStation standalone.

For those who are yet to experience Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, it is now free to download for subscribers to PlayStation Plus Extra at no extra cost. One user over on r/PS5 believes this is not a game to sleep on.

“Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is incredible,” they wrote. “I just played it for the first time and I'm seriously impressed. I feel like many people skipped it because it's not a main line entry. I mean I almost did. It has the Uncharted 4 gameplay + silenced pistols that really help add depth to stealth. Also if you love the Madagascar chase in Uncharted 4 this game does a similar thing but 10x more epic."

As the most recent entry in the Uncharted franchise, Lost Legacy may be the last instalment we see in the Naughty Dog saga for a while despite fans recently begging for more.
