PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim free DLC for Battlefield 6 right now that would typically cost $20 (around £18).

Earlier this month, we finally saw the release of Battlefield 6. This entry, many fans hoped, would be a return to form that the series desperately needed, especially following the mundane release of Battlefield 2042 in 2021.

For as long as Call of Duty has been around (give or take a year), Battlefield has been one of the prominent names in the military first-person shooter genre. However, much like the Activision series, it hasn't always been sunshine and roses from its fiercest competitor.

Thankfully, for the most part, it seems like Battlefield 6 has got the series back on track, with a short but sweet single-player campaign, and a high-octane multiplayer offering that should keep gamers busy for many months to come. Hopefully, the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will share the same success.

Yet, if Battlefield 6 wasn't quite enough for you, then you might be pleased to know that a new free-to-play battle royale game has just been released this week with Battlefield REDSEC, which looks to compete with the success of Call of Duty: Warzone.

Whether Battlefield REDSEC can replicate the success of Call of Duty: Warzone remains to be seen, because we all know that it’s not easy to be the next Fortnite in this particular market.

Free Battlefield REDSEC ‘Rogue Ops Pack’ on PS Plus

To celebrate the launch of Battlefield REDSEC, as brought to our attention by Twitter user CharlieIntel, the free PlayStation Plus DLC mentioned at the top of this article is now available for download.

The ‘Rogue Ops Pack’, which is compatible in both the Battlefield 6 multiplayer and REDSEC, includes:

  • “Going Dark” PAX Assault Soldier Skin
  • “No Limits” Soldier Patch
  • “Target Spotted” Player Card Background
  • “Jacked In” Weapon Charm
  • “Lead Rain” Dog Tag
  • “Aggressive Tactics” Vehicle Decal
  • “Night Raid” UH-79 Vehicle Skin
  • “Seasoned” Weapon Sticker
  • “Lamina” Parachute
  • “Arctic Reign” L110 Weapon Package
  • “Early Grave” P18 Weapon Package

The ‘Rogue Ops Pack’ is also available to download on PC and Xbox, but as I mentioned earlier, it will cost you $20/£18, unfortunately. Hopefully, there’ll be some free Battlefield 6/REDSEC DLC for those platforms one day.

Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC are available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. As for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, it arrives on 14 November for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
