Battlefield fans and PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim this free DLC today, but be warned, it might not be around forever.
Other than having access to potentially hundreds of video games, Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription service has a ton of other perks such as cloud streaming, a curated selection of free movies, discounts and much more.
Another fantastic perk of being a PlayStation Plus subscriber is the exclusive and free DLC that you can claim. What’s more, it doesn't matter if you subscribe to the PS Plus Essential, Extra or Premium tier; everyone gets the same free DLC.
One such free DLC that you can claim for PlayStation Plus subscribers is the ‘Search and Destroy Pack’, and it’s available to download right now. The free DLC can be used in both Battlefield 6 and the free-to-play battle royale, Battlefield: REDSEC.
Typically, the ‘Search and Destroy Pack’ should cost £17.99/$19.99, but PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim it for free and keep it forever.

What’s more, with Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC being cross-platform, it means that the DLC is too. However, you still will need to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber to claim it.

From what we can tell, there’s no specific expiry date for the DLC being free to PlayStation Plus subscribers. That being said, it might be worth claiming this content today, just in case. Better safe than sorry, as they say.
We reviewed Battlefield 6, and for its release in 2025, GAMINGbible’s Olly called it that year's “Killer FPS”, scoring it an excellent 8/10 due to its fun single-player and multiplayer modes.
“The ultimate all-out warfare experience. Fight in high-intensity infantry combat. Rip through the skies in aerial dogfights. Demolish your environment for a strategic advantage,” reads the description of the game.
“Harness complete control over every action and movement using the Kinesthetic Combat System. In a war of tanks, fighter jets, and massive combat arsenals, the deadliest weapon is your squad. This is Battlefield 6.”
Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC are out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
