PlayStation users are being treated to nine free games… and everyone is really mad about it (I’m not joking).
PlayStation Plus has been going downhill for a while now. What started as a relatively affordable service with some mid games has somehow ballooned into a ridiculously unaffordable service with games that are… still kinda mid.
Sorry, I’m getting ahead of myself! Here’s are the nine free games that are now available through PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium, as of today: FBC: Firebreak, Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2, Battlefield 2042, theHunter: Call of the Wild, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie, Train Sim World 5, Endless Dungeon, and Deus Ex.

Understandably, the users over on the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit aren’t too thrilled with what’s on offer, and many are stating that they’ll be jumping ship to Xbox Game Pass instead of renewing their PlayStation Plus subscription.
“Genuinely considering getting an Xbox just for gamepass cause wtf is this? They gave Battlefield for ps plus essential like a year ago”, commented user SakisSinatra.
“Xbox game pass subscribers are getting Day 1 access to their AAA titles while we’re getting this s**t lmao what a joke”, replied user sonofacat.
Look, there are some good games on that list. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and Endless Dungeon are two that I can personally attest to being a lot of fun.

But, you know what Xbox Game Pass users were treated to over the last month? The Elder Scrolls Oblivion: Remastered, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Metaphor: ReFantazio, to name but a few.
Considering how close these two services are in price, you gotta wonder what exactly Sony is playing at here.
People are clearly starting to get sick of how much of a difference in quality there is between PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, and Sony just doesn’t seem to care. Instead, they’re opting to charge more for the service instead.
Here’s hoping people continue to vote with their wallets and ditch PlayStation Plus, because consumers deserve better that this.
