The team behind Ghost of Yōtei isn’t entirely sure where they’ll go next once work on its upcoming free DLC is complete, but they have ideas– the problem is, they just want to do all of them.
Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to Sony’s 2020 smash hit Ghost of Tsushima, is getting a free DLC sometime this year, but the devs behind the game can’t decide which game they want to follow up on once it’s done.
As revealed on the PlayStation Blog in August last year, Sucker Punch is hard at work on a free multiplayer DLC for Ghost of Yōtei, and it's set to drop at some point in 2026 on the PlayStation 5.
The Legends DLC sounds identical to the multiplayer DLC of the same name for Ghost of Tsushima that came out in 2021, so I think it’s fair to say we know what to expect in terms of its contents and gameplay.

But what are Sucker Punch’s plans once it’s finished?
A recent thread on Twitter may shine some light on that topic, although the information contained within does require a little bit of dissection first.
As @TCMF2's post reveals, Sucker Punch's Brian Fleming and Nate Fox have previously spoken about what projects they'd like to tackle next, but this information actually comes from two different interviews... and, in Brian Fleming's case, it's slightly outdated news.

Let’s start with co-creative director Nate Fox’s interview with Game Informer back in July 2025.
Fox was asked if Sucker Punch would consider revisiting the inFAMOUS franchise in the future, and this is what he had to say: “I would love to work on more Infamous. I would love to see a trilogy rerelease, but Sucker Punch is a one game at a time shop, and right now we are very focused on finishing Ghost of Yōtei.”
Pretty straightforward answer, but very non-committal.
Co-founder Brian Fleming’s answer regarding a new Sly Cooper game stems from an interview with VGC in October 2025.
“The truth is that whatever we do next, whether it’s continuing Ghost or going back to Sly, the decision is really more limited by, again, our cherishing of focus and time to iterate, which means that we really can only do one thing at a time,” Fleming told VGC.
“If we were good at juggling four projects, yeah, we’d have a remaster, and let’s go do one of those, and one of those, and do some fan request, that would be really popular… But we only get to do one thing.”
The issue with Fleming's quote is that he doesn't actually work for Sucker Punch anymore.
As revealed in a post on the Sony Interactive website on December 16, Fleming has now officially parted ways with Sucker Punch, and his role at the developer has been replaced by new studio heads Jason Connell and Adrian Bentley.
Fleming likely had some input regarding what game Sucker Punch should make next, but the decision is now ultimately out of his hands.
Personally, I’d like to see a new Sly Cooper game myself, but I’d understand if Sucker Punch opted to make inFAMOUS 3 instead… as it would almost definitely make more money.
