A classic reborn

The Elder Scrolls fans can return to a beloved classic with The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind Rebirth expansion.

Bethesda did a fantastic job with The Elder Scrolls III, however, there’s always room for improvement; improvement in the form of a mod by trancemaster_1988.

The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind Rebirth allows players to return to the classic game, but without fear of becoming too familiar with its story and setting.

Be sure to check out Morrowind Rebirth's trailer before you go

As the description explains, “Explore the island of Vvardenfell as you never have before, with a world built anew to be both alien and familiar to the Morrowind you knew before.”

“New adventures await, with new exciting areas to see and explore, and new artefacts just waiting to be discovered. This is a complete overhaul for Morrowind,” it continues.

PC users who’ve already explored the island of Vvardenfell have long sang the praises of this mod. But its creator has seen fit to carry on developing Morrowind Rebirth so that there’s always something new to discover.

Rarely we suggest tampering with perfection, but we have nothing to fear with the continued dedication of trancemaster_1988 to further enhance our experience.

The changes made thus far have been quite substantial. So much so, that it feels almost like a new game.

People are in awe of The Shadow of the Erdtree file size, but this is a hefty download too, and from a much smaller team of devs, no less.

In short, we won’t go hungry this year, at least not as far as games are concerned.

Let’s just hope none of you run into a game-breaking bug like the one plaguing Skyrim fans over a decade later – can you imagine anything more frustrating?!

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Rebirth is available right now, and is completely free to download.
