Star Wars Battlefront 2 next-gen overhaul leaves fans absolutely floored

It looks stunning!

Star Wars Battlefront II has never looked better, and it’s left fans feeling absolutely floored.

Released in 2017 and developed by Battlefield studio, DICE, Star Wars Battlefront II had a rocky launch. Not due to the quality of the gameplay, but largely thanks to its egregious XP grind and greedy microtransaction loot boxes that enabled pay-to-win mechanics.

Thankfully, following a mass backlash, DICE fixed most of the issues that fans had with Star Wars Battlefront II. Sadly, the damage was already done for most, with many fans not keen to give the game a second chance.

However, in recent months, Star Wars Battlefront II has had somewhat of a resurgence, with not only veteran fans returning to the game but also a legion of new fans. Even my teenage son, who had no prior connection to the game, has been enjoying its multiplayer shenanigans.

One Star Wars Battlefront II fan who has been enjoying the game lately runs the Digital Dreams YouTube channel, a channel in which popular PC games are boosted with a series of mods that make older titles, especially, look better than ever.

In a recently uploaded video, taking advantage of a series of mods and powered by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, Star Wars Battlefront II, the 2017 shooter, looks stunning and fellow fans are more than impressed, to say the least.

“I don't know what magic EA did with the graphics for this game, but they always looked ahead of its time. Your work here is great, too,” wrote shmookins in the comments section of the video in question. “I wish we had new games looking like that, but they'd be even more expensive to make.”

“This video uses a mod and a reshade, which looks fantastic, rustyplays0500.

“A game released so long ago with just a coat of polish looking better than most of the trash out there today,” exclaimed Jrzez.

Sadly, as is the case with most mods, this is a PC deal only. For the rest of us, we can play Star Wars Battlefront II as intended on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
