Star Wars Battlefront 2 gets stunning overhaul that makes it look like a damn PS6 game

Star Wars Battlefront II has rather unexpectedly made a major comeback in recent months.

Coinciding with the rollout of Andor’s second season, which has now drawn to a close, players have been flocking back to DICE and EA’s 2017 action shooter.

The game quickly flew back up the top of the Steam charts and while it’s much harder to track a game’s success on console, word of mouth suggests that the PlayStation and Xbox versions have been just as well populated.

This all begs a rather interesting question: is this enough to secure the greenlight for Star Wars Battlefront III?

EA is surely paying Battlefront, as a franchise, more attention right now than it has in years; the big wigs are likely watching player numbers and working out where new opportunities could arise.

It’s with that in mind that Battlefront III is perhaps more likely than ever, unless EA decides instead to simply invest in more support for the pre-existing Battlefront II.

It’s hard to know what the future holds.

If Battlefront III ever was to exist though, it may look something like this modded version of Battlefront II.

YouTube wizard Digital Dreams is back with yet another mod makeover, this time overhauling Battlefront II.

Running in 8K at 60fps, Battlefront II looks utterly stunning - like a next-gen title, in fact.

It is possible to replicate Digital Dreams’ efforts here with a mod list and ReShade preset download linked in the video’s description.

Of course, you’ll need the right bit of kit. Digital Dreams is using the power of the GeForce RTX 5090.

Needless to say, I’m not the only one impressed by this mod project.

“I don't know what magic EA did with the graphics for this game but they always looked ahead of their time. Your work here is great too,” wrote one viewer.

“Okay but how did you get it to look this good? I have like 50 mods but none make it this nice,” added another.

It goes without saying that only PC users will be able to download and utilise this mod list.
