This brand new Resident Evil Requiem mod adds the Xenomorph from Alien as a new terrifying threat to avoid.

Resident Evil Requiem’s modding scene has already made some excellent strides. We’ve seen the likes of Shrek added as a miniboss, Minecraft Steve as a playable character, and a very wholesome mod which replaces Leon’s motorbike with a little bicycle.

In keeping with the game’s horror vibe though, one modder has gone ahead and added the Xenomorph from Alien (specifically, the Alien: Isolation version) to the game. Oh, my nightmares.

Created by modder Raq on Nexus Mods, 'Xenomorph' adds the terrifying creature from the Alien movies as an enemy skin which replaces The Girl.

The mod replaces the model for The Girl, and has a functional skeleton rig and animations that make it look like something taken right out of an Alien movie.

Similarly, Raq has also added new sounds to go along with the mod to make it seem more Scott-inspired.

The Girl Is An Excellent Recurring Enemy In Resident Evil Requiem, And This Mod Makes The Game Much Scarier

As Resident Evil Requiem players will know (and we’ll prop this up with a spoiler warning in case you’ve yet to hit Requiem’s halfway mark), The Girl is an enemy who recurs throughout the first half of the game.

She first appears at the start of the Rhodes Hill Care Center section with Grace, before being quickly defeated by Leon.

However, she survives the encounter and comes back later to stalk you during the basement chapter. She appears one final time at the end of Grace’s section of the game, where you finally finish her for good.

As someone who loves the opening half of Resident Evil Requiem, The Girl is absolutely terrifying, and her scare factor is something that makes those opening hours so effective.

It’s a great use of Resident Evil’s stalker mechanic, which had become a little tired by Resident Evil Village. I felt that this time around though, it had been used a lot more sparingly, and therefore doesn’t give you a chance to become bored or annoyed by it.

Alien: Isolation is also one of my favourite horror games of all time, so this mod feels like an excellent way to honour both franchises.

You can download the Xenomorph mod now by downloading it for the PC version of Resident Evil Requiem on Nexus Mods.
