If you’re a cosy gamer, there’s a very high chance that it’s currently Pokémon Pokopia that’s consuming all of your free time.
Eventually though, we’ll all return to Stardew Valley too. There’s enough room in our lives for more than one cosy titan.
Stardew Valley recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone teasing what we can expect in the upcoming 1.7 Update.
Both Clint and Sandy are set to become marriage candidates.

Unfortunately, there’s no estimate on when that update might arrive, but I do have something that might keep you busy in the meantime.
I cannot get enough of a certain new mod, and I have a feeling you won’t either.
Haggle With Customers In This New Shopkeeping Mod Creation
‘Merchant - Become a Shopkeeper’ by NexusMods user mushymato does exactly what it claims to.
It allows players to take on the role of a merchant, adding a fun new minigame into the Stardew Valley mix.
Players can open a shop, decorate it, and then trade with the townsfolk.
The minigame comes into play during that selling process, as a haggling menu will appear and you’ll have to hit a prompt at the correct time to get a good price for your wares.
Your goal is to hit below their offer if you want to offer a good deal and ensure their happiness.
Players get three attempts and if they can only offer too high of a price, the purchase fails.
It’s incredibly moreish. You can only get four customers in the minigame per round initially, but this does eventually upgrade as you proceed with the maximum being 32.

Add the fact that you can decorate your shop however you wish into the mix and you can likely see why this is such a charming mod.
To set up your shop, you’ll just need a farm building and cash register; the latter can be purchased from Robin’s Shop or acquired through an event with Willy at the fish shop.
Sellable items should be placed on furniture within reachable distance of the building’s entrance.
You get a shop bonus if your shop is decorated nicely.
I’m not the only one having a great time with this.
“I love this mod so much already,” wrote one happy player, while another declared, “This is a really fun mod! And it’s really cool to see all your NPCs gathering and browsing goods in a space you create like that.”
You will need to be playing Stardew Valley on PC in order to get involved, but the mod is otherwise free.
