In case you’re tired of Big Farm taking all your hard earned money in Stardew Valley, this brand new mod should solve your problems.

The economy in Stardew Valley can always be a little stressful. There are various different crops, items, and building objects which cost a pretty penny to afford.

For those players who don’t want to pay into the big money man’s pockets, however, this new mod completely removes the money aspect from the game, allowing you to enjoy it at a slower pace without worrying about the financials.

Play Stardew Valley Without The Stress Of Capitalism

The mod, called ‘No Money’ by aedenthorn, does exactly as described—it removes money from the game altogether.

That means no more earnings for your crops, or other items you sell. You’ll be farming purely for the love of farming, allowing you to do it at your own pace rather than desperately trying to muster together what you can to make ends meet.

On the other hand, it also means acquiring new items and objects costs nothing, so you can expand your farm a lot faster without having to wait for crops to grow or your savings to increase.

“Have you ever wanted a truly laidback, cozy Stardew Valley experience without the stress of capitalism? Look no further!,” reads the description on Nexus Mods.

“This mod lets you remove most references to money from an individual save via an option in the character creation menu. The option is a coin to the top left of the character creation menu.”

The mod also disables the money box that is located in the top right corner of the screen, as well as removing all money-related achievements.

However, aedenthorn still makes sure to mention that some text still references money.

“Rather than editing all the text and having to deal with translation issues, the game just always thinks you have unlimited money, so you can ignore stated costs of things like divorce, mermaid pendants, house upgrades, etc,” the description clarifies.

Yeah, okay, it’s technically a cheat mod. But considering it’s a single player game, I’d argue that this doesn’t necessarily matter, because it doesn’t affect other players.

I also know the money aspect of Stardew Valley can sometimes get in the way of some players’ enjoyment, who’d rather play based on vibes than anything else.

If you’re interested in downloading the No Money mod, you can grab it now from the Stardew Valley page at Nexus Mods.
