A new mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has fixed one of the game’s most boring features, taking inspiration from Cyberpunk 2077 to do it.

While the majority of fans have high hopes The Elder Scrolls VI will be another brilliantly made RPG adventure, I’m sure many are also hoping it irons out some of the issues found in Skyrim.

Check out the teaser for The Elder Scrolls VI below

Don’t get me wrong, Skyrim is a masterpiece in almost every way, perfectly showcased through its still very active playerbase, that’s determined to find every secret, craft every mod and sometimes accomplish literally everything possible in the game.

Mods especially are a source of endless fun for players new and old, and while some prepare entirely new worlds to explore and more quests to undertake, some are a bit more simplistic and fix some of the more annoying features found in the base game.

The mod we’re talking about today changes an important, but very boring, part of Skyrim, the game’s waiting mechanic.

Whether you’re waiting for a quest to progress, don’t fancy walking through the woods at night, or want to speed things along until Belethor's General Goods is open, waiting takes up a lot of the player’s time.

It’s a shame it’s so dull then, but thankfully a mod Modern Wait Menu makes the feature a bit more engaging.

According to the mod’s creator, it provides a “complete overhaul and redesign of Skyrim's Wait & Rest Menu inspired by modern UI elements in games like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3.”

It’s a simple change to the game’s user interface but a welcome one at that, and if you’re considering starting a new playthrough on PC it’s well-worth adding to your game just so things look a bit tidier.
