Red Dead Redemption 2 enormous free expansion adds 120 new locations

This expansion for Red Dead Redemption 2 is wild

Red Dead Redemption 2 players can download an exceptional expansion mod that adds several new locations you visit.

It’s not a secret that Red Dead Redemption 2’s open world is considered one of the best ever made, with loads of secrets and hidden details to uncover if you know where to look.

Check out Red Dead Redemption 2 below.

Of course, even Rockstar Games can’t create a world that goes on forever, though I’d imagine they’re going to give it their best shot with GTA VI.

Eventually players will see and do everything Red Dead Redemption 2 has to offer, and then start the long-wait for Red Dead Redemption 3, which reportedly won’t star a younger version of Arthur Morgan, according to Roger Clark.

Fear not though, players on PC can extend their journey with mods, one of which will add around 120 new locations to explore, prolonging your playthrough by a couple of hours.

It’s called the Bandit Hideouts mode, and does exactly what it says on the tin, scatters a load of bandit hideouts across the map to raid.

The mod’s description reads: “This mod adds 120 new bandit hideouts, 37 ambush locations, a bandit posse on horseback that will chase and hunt you, roaming bandits on foot, horse, or wagon that will attack the player on sight, hire gunmen at saloons, and zombies. Players can customise all features with various settings through the Bandit Hideouts.ini file.”

You can either tackle these hideouts one after the other, or use it to fill the gap in-between story missions and side quests, it’s up to you.

It might not be the official Rockstar Games expansion fans had dreamed of when the game was still new, but it’ll do the job if you’re looking to cling to Red Dead Redemption 2’s world a little bit longer.
