Palworld players urged to immediately change these settings for graphics boost

Palworld players urged to immediately change these settings for graphics boost

If you're trying to play Palworld on a lower-end PC, you might want to try out these settings adjustments.

Palworld continues to go from strength to strength, despite the tangled mess of discourse that it’s kicked off online.

In case you missed it, Palworld is the first runaway success of 2024. Dubbed to be ‘Pokémon with guns’, Palworld launched on Steam and Xbox last Friday, on 19 January. Already it’s amassed a whopping 7,000,000 players on Steam alone. In terms of that discourse I mentioned, PocketPair’s survival-crafting adventure has been targeted by accusations of plagiarism and the use of AI, neither of which have yet been proven. Just this morning, devs acknowledged over on Twitter how blown away they were by the response, laying out the game’s roadmap for the next couple of months.

Take a look at Palworld in action below.

I should note that the game is in early access. In our review of Palworld, GAMINGbible’s Dan wrote, “It’s astonishing how much has been packed into Palworld given its Early Access status. Sure, the developers will probably expand the world, add in more Pals, and grow the story, too. But what we have here is already great, and features so many small details that you’ll be amazed at what you discover. It’s a little rough around the edges in places, but the blueprint and starting product are more than enough to keep you going.”

You’re here to find out how you can get the most out of the game though, and as reported by SegmentNext, it’s oh so very easy to give Palworld a graphics boost. This is directed at those playing the game on lower-end PCs. If you’re experience frame drops or lagging, make sure you have the following setting options enabled: Presets as Custom, Screen Mode as Full Screen, Screen Resolution as Default, Max FPS as 60, VSync Off, Anti-Aliasing as Medium, View Distance as Medium, Grass Details as Medium, Shadows as Medium, Effects Quality as Medium, Texture Quality as Medium, and DLSS as Performance.

That should help stabilise performance so that you can also enjoy the game’s simple but very pleasant graphics. If you’re just embarking on your Palworld journey, we have guides on the 10 best starter Pals, the most useful Pals, and need-to-know tips for new players.
