Fallout: Bakersfield gets its first trailer, and it looks astonishing, and we need it right now.
Since its inception in 1997, long before it became a Bethesda-owned property, the Fallout series was already one of the most popular post-apocalyptic RPGs of its genre, and now, thanks to Bethesda, it’s still going strong today.
Under the guidance of Bethesda, we've had multiple sequels and spin-offs, a fantastic live-action series on Amazon, tabletop board games and much more. Now, fans are eagerly awaiting the official reveal of Fallout 5.

That being said, not all of Fallout’s success can be attributed towards Bethesda, because the modding community has also played a huge role in its popularity.
Whether it’s new expansions, graphics, and performance boosts or fixing Bethesda’s infamous bugs, the awesome modding community has us covered.
The mod that is the topic of today’s discussion is something a little different, in that it’s not developed directly from an existing Fallout game, but rather another popular Bethesda series, DOOM.
The mod in question, Fallout: Bakersfield, is a total conversion of the original DOOM released in 1993 on PC by id Software.

Those familiar with the old-school DOOM and Duke Nukem series will find the nostalgic 2.5D sprites instantly recognisable; however, in Fallout: Bakersfield, not only do the visuals look extra crisp in HD, but the character animation is superbly done.
In the first gameplay trailer uploaded to the indie developers' YouTube channel,
Saur X, Fallout: Bakersfield looks so good, it could easily pass as an official spin-off release.
“This might be the sickest Fallout project I’ve ever seen,” declared ItsJabo in the comments section of the YouTube trailer.
“An absolutely brilliant game idea and a perfect capture of the Fallout atmosphere,” said ROJSON.

“Never seen a fan project get so close to the OG vibe,” exclaimed Palendrome.
“Please, don't let this die,” pleaded otcharles1193.
Fallout: Bakersfield does not have a release date at the time of writing, but we can’t wait to see the full version in action when it eventually launches on PC.
