Cyberpunk 2077 new DLC trailer slammed by fans

Not sure this is exactly what people were asking for, but sure...

There’s some new Cyberpunk 2077 content on its way and… fans are understandably upset about it.

Last week, CD Projekt RED unveiled Update 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077, and it was mostly well received. Some people have complained that it’s a little buggy, but overall the community seems happy with it.

That’s probably why CD Projekt RED decided to follow up this news with some brand new Cyberpunk 2077 content… for a completely different game.

As revealed on the official @CyberpunkGame Twitter account, the team behind Arena Breakout Infinite is adding some new Cyberpunk 2077 content to the game.

What kind of content you ask? No idea, as it was just a teaser trailer. Seemingly no date of release anywhere either.

I guess people were riding a bit too high on the success of Update 2.3, because the fans in the comments aren’t too happy with the reveal.

Here’s some of the more safe for work replies I managed to find in the thread.

“Damn. Your multiplayer open-world would have cooked”, commented user @CoffeeStainer.

“Hope you make it happen with the next game. Take your time and be ready for the next one.”

“I thought we were finally getting a cool co-op mode for 2077 damn” replied one user.

I kinda get the response, in a way. This is just some tactical extraction shooter that nobody in the comments have heard of, so they probably assumed that the teaser trailer was a bigger deal than it actually ended up being before they watched it.

That being said, it is a bit of an overreaction. It’s not like collabs like this cost CD Projekt RED much in the way of time, and it certainly isn’t distracting their development team to any degree.

Cyberpunk 2 is on its way, folks. In the meantime, collabs with other games like this are the most you’re gonna see of Cyberpunk 2077.
