Fallout getting a new RPG earlier than expected thanks to the fans

Will we roll for V.A.T.S.?

When it comes to video games and board games, it can often be a match made in heaven delivering a new perspective to the franchises that we love.

Over the years we’ve seen the likes of Resident Evil, Horizon Zero Dawn, Gears of War and more adapted to the tabletop and one other franchise that is no stranger to such adaptations is Bethesda’s Fallout series.

Check out our chat with the cast of the Fallout show below!

We’ve already seen fun Fallout tabletop adaptations from the likes of Fantasy Flight Games as well as a 2d20 DnD campaign from Modiphius but now fans have banded together on Reddit to bring their own version of a post-apocalyptic DnD experience.

“I'm making a Fallout DnD and need ideas,” announced NateSixx. “I already have a few like an anti-brotherhood that hates technology and whatnot,” and as expected, the Reddit thread was not short of suggestions.

“A faction of people who ONLY wear armour and nothing else and they are somewhat nudists, but they understand the importance of armour, and they allow the wearing of it,” suggested TangentRogue270. “Maybe they could have a city floating on Lake Erie.”

“How about for a faction called “the Columbus Restoration Fellowship” and their goal is to rebuild and rehabilitate the city of Columbus,” replied RepresentativeWork36. “And for a vault, you could have one that’s built to mimic a medieval castle.”

“Add an NPC that's gone deluded and believes they're in a fantasy roleplaying game,” proposed Fester_rabit with Neither-Look4614 adding “A joke character of a raider who has no idea how to be a raider at all.”

Will this fan-made Fallout DnD adaptation be better than the officially licensed adaptations from Modiphius or Fantasy Flight Games? Only time will tell.

Hopefully, with all the Fallout video game and tabletop goodness that is and will be on offer, it should help to keep us occupied until Fallout 5 eventually arrives.
