GTA 6 map teaser confirms game is even bigger than we thought

Turns out, Rockstar revealed this ages ago, but nobody noticed

It turns out, Rockstar Games themselves leaked a little part of the map to us a long time ago… and it implies that there’s a hell of a lot of map to explore.

Grand Theft Auto VI fans have been pouring over every little detail Rockstar Games throws their way for years now, and yet it seems the majority of us missed a very obvious reveal several months ago.

As detailed in a post from @GTAVI_Countdown on Twitter, a teaser image featuring Brian (who Jason will supposedly work for during the opening part of the game) shows off a detailed look at one area of the map: the Leonida Keys.

Well, I say a lot of us missed this but it turns out that one user r/gta6 subreddit did spot this when it first dropped, and the folks in the comments seem pretty hyped by the scale its implying.

“You can see leonida keys no? plus jason and brian are all but confirmed to be from leonida keys at least in the beginning, so this map seems like the leonida keys+vice city area only”, commented user arka818.

“Looks really close to the mapping project too, look at it upside down and look at the bottom part of the mapping project.”

“Interesting”, replied user cepxico.

“I wonder if that's accurate to in game or if the artist just made up whatever.”

Now, I highly doubt this is a “mistake” on Rockstar Games’ part (as some people in the comments seem to think).

However, they do have the defence that the map in question could be something that Brian mocked up themselves, so it doesn’t have to be a completely 1-to-1 representation of what we’ll get in the final game.

Still, it is getting me hyped at the prospect of wading through a huge swamp and fighting some alligators…
