Grand Theft Auto VI may not be arriving this year, but I’d say that Rockstar Games has been rather generous as of late.
The reveal of the game’s delay came alongside the arrival of its actual release date, 26 May 2026, both of which were shortly followed by the release of GTA VI’s second trailer and the launch of the game’s website featuring tons of screenshots and information.
Yes, we may still be waiting on unedited gameplay and pre-order information, but we’re not doing too bad for ourselves.
And yet, GTA VI fans are once again growing impatient.

Honestly, I can’t see Rockstar Games dropping anything new any time soon; marketing will likely ramp up at the end of the year or in early 2026.
It looks as if that’s something that fans are at least aware of as they’ve taken to analysing trailers one and two once again, with Reddit user Morfure uncovering some interesting details.
They pointed out 10 different observations, some of which may be worth making note of and some of which feel like a stretch, but I shall paraphrase them below:
- A bus stop sign could indicate usable public transportation … or it could just be a redundant sign.
- A visible ATM could reflect a cash system … or it could just be there for ‘set dressing’.
- A bridge with a gap at both ends could signify the return of stunt jumps, which sounds far more plausible.
- The presence of wireless headphones could reflect a music streaming feature - another possibility.
- A truck with “gear in the back” could prove that vehicles can act as storage.
- The doorbell at Jason’s house could indicate they’re functional, but I imagine they’ll only be functional when a cutscene calls for the need.
- Phone numbers on buildings could mark the return of player mobiles and interactive communication, which I could see.
- Disability parking pays could indicate better inclusive representation when it comes to characters and NPCs which, of course, is always welcomed.
- Someone watching their car at a gas station could show that there’s a car refuelling system.
I’ve made my thoughts clear already but as you can see, there’s a good balance here of plausible features and observations that may just be a stretch too far.

Honestly, I don’t think we should rain on somebody’s hype but that’s pretty much what the GTA fandom has done.
“It's going to be a long f**king year guys,” replied T98Rez.
“I’m laughing at the fact you think these are new details. Congrats on waking up from your coma and joining the rest of us,” added MySmellyRacoon.
Come on guys, a little speculation never hurt anybody.
