With Fallout 5 not expected to be released anytime soon, Fallout 4 creators are working in earnest to tide players over until Bethesda reveals the big news.

With mods that allow you to go beyond the borders of Fallout 4 to mods that add creepy new quests with unique weapons as a reward, the modding community for the hit Bethesda RPG is not slowing down when it comes to releasing brand-new and, better yet, free content.

In the meantime, check out our interview with the cast of Fallout below!

This time, we are checking out the Locked and Loaded mod by creator RascalArt.

Added to NexusMods earlier this week, this mod adds several original robot types to the Gunners faction, plus some unique attire and weapons.

The Gunners are a ruthless mercenary organisation that operates in the Commonwealth and are regularly seen in certain areas around the map.

With the Locked and Loaded mod, players will be able to stumble across the Gunners and their brand-new robot companions which fall into a variety of different types.

Scrappers are cheap and disposable types which are used mainly to strip and haul resources whereas Scrapper Packmasters are better versions which are usually accompanied by MULES.

MULES are quadrupedal robots which are used to haul large quantities of resources but can also pack a punch, much like their namesakes.

The Heavy Assaultrons are larger and sturdier and carry large weapons, and last but not least, the Warmaster is the biggest and baddest and are equipped with twin lasers, rocket launchers and a Hunter-killer drone.

“My advice - keep moving and beware the drones, which will follow you relentlessly,” the modder shared.

“Only three Warmasters can be found in the wasteland - One in Quincy, one outside Gunners Plaza, and one in the Glowing Sea.”

Coming up against any of these new enemies will see you engage in a fight to the death so if you are looking for a tougher Fallout 4 experience, the Locked and Loaded mod is the way to go.
