Fallout 4 Gets Huge Episodic Expansion You Can Download For Free

Fallout 4 fans will soon be able to enjoy a new large expansion for free, and the first episode has already been released.

Now going on for nearly ten years, Fallout 4 has proved itself to be a type of “forever game”, with people constantly revisiting it and making new characters.

Thanks to the large DLCs that Bethesda developed during its lifecycle, combined with the mods and creations made by the community, it’s become one of those games you can keep coming back to for fresh experiences.

A new DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 is in the works, with the developer having already released the first part for all players on PC to download and enjoy.

TimeyWimey is a six-part questline that deals with time travel, and will feature the player going on a journey to find a time traveller.

“Long ago, in the future, a synth named Nick was hired by some mysterious client to find a guy named Tennant, who had something to do with a time traveller,” the mod’s description reads. “The main character just found out about this, and is intrigued.”

Considering the mod’s name and the presence of a character named Tennant, it’s clear that the creator Dorin has taken a lot of inspiration from Doctor Who in creating this questline.

At the moment, players can download Episode 1, titled “Wanted: Lord of Time”. It features a fully-voiced quest, as well as new power armour, new worldspaces, and an emphasis on worldbuilding and exploration.

Five more episodes are planned, with work on Episode 2 already in progress. The episode names don’t give too much information away for what’s coming in the future, though with titles like “Just Blink” and “Doctor’s Orders”, the Doctor Who allusions are still there. In fact, Dorin has also credited the BBC in the mod’s acknowledgements.

There’s no ETA on when to expect the next episode, but be sure to keep an eye on the mod page for further updates.
