Nintendo has dropped a fresh batch of new Super Mario free downloads, and they’re available for you to grab now.

It’s a brand new week, and that means a new wave of icons have hit Nintendo Switch Online users, allowing them to customise their profile with new designs.

The latest selection of free icons are centred all around Super Mario and other characters associated with those games, with many different ones available to collect.

As NSO Icon Alerts reports, this new batch of icons includes designs based on games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey.

These icons include several of Mario’s alternate forms in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, including that rather eldritch Elephant Mario and Goomba Mario.

Other characters like Peach, Daisy, and Yoshi are also present in this new batch of freebies, each one available for ten Platinum Points each.

In addition to these icons, you can also grab several Mario-themed backgrounds and frames, available for a cheaper 5 Platinum Points each.

How To Claim Free Nintendo Switch Icons

If you want to pick up some of these icons, boot up your Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 then head to the Nintendo Switch Online app on the home screen. From here, find ‘Missions & Rewards’ and then you’ll see the new drop of icons available to redeem.

If you don’t have enough Platinum Points, you can grab more by playing certain games on Nintendo Switch Online, like some of the retro titles available via Nintendo Classics, or certain first-party games published by Nintendo.

In related news, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie releases in cinemas next month. The film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad.

Donald Glover, Benny Safdie, Brie Larson, Kevin Michael Richardson, Luis Guzmán, and Issa Rae also join the cast as new characters from across the Mario universe.
