Fallout: Revelation Blues will keep you busy till Fallout 5

What a revelation

I’m sure there were plenty of disappointed faces during the Xbox Summer Showcase when the only glimpse of Fallout was for the MMORPG, Fallout 76 fishing update, rather than the highly anticipated Fallout 5.

There wasn’t even any information about the second season of the Fallout TV show from Amazon, so, in an attempt to heal your hurt, allow me to tell you about this mod that expands the wasteland.

Fallout: Revelation Blues is based on the original plans for Fallout 3, which was once to be developed by Black Isle Studios under the leadership of Chris Avellone.

At the time, the game was codename Van Buren, but it was short-lived as development starting hitting road bumps.

Now, modders are attempting to create the original plans inside the Fallout New Vegas engine, translating the CRPG isometric ideas into a fully 3D world.

What’s available on Nexus Mods currently is a demo of the progress being made, and it allows for players to head out and explore the region of Burham Springs.

The town is described as “A small mining town that was once under NCR control, now abandoned due to a terrible incident.

Which is where you come in, as the player, and you’ll have to “explore the ruins and have the story unfold before you.”

You can expect everything that makes the Fallout world so engaging, with plenty of NPCs dotted around to talk to, while you explore the wasteland for clues, and hidden items.

In order to play this fan-made adventure, you’ll need a copy of Fallout: New Vegas, and your character will need to be level 15 or above to enter the expansion.

Once you’re in the new region, you can explore freely, following the prompts of NPCs, and if you enjoy this slice of Fallout fun, the full mod will be available in the near future.
