Resident Evil 9 Demo Has Gamers More Hyped Than Ever

We can’t wait!

Later this month, lucky fans will be able to go hands-on with a highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem demo, and it’s fair to say, they’re hyped.

After months of speculation, Capcom revealed in 2024 that it was working on the next entry in its survival horror series, unofficially dubbed by fans as “Resident Evil 9”. We later learned that it would be called Resident Evil Requiem.

Taking place roughly 30 years after the Raccoon City incident, we’re taken back to the place in which the T-Virus ran rampant at the hands of Umbrella Corps, resulting in the government attempting to cover it all up by dropping a nuke.

In Resident Evil Requiem, it will star a new protagonist, an FBI agent named Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa from Resident Evil Outbreak. However, some suspect that it may also have a second protagonist, who may face an ill fate.

Resident Evil Requiem doesnt release until early next year (assuming there’s no delay), but those who are fortunate enough to attend Gamescom next week will have an opportunity to play a pre-release demo.

What’s more, fans across the pond will also be able to play the Resident Evil Requiem demo at PAX West, and fans are hyped about that prospect. Fans are also hoping that the demo will soon be made public to download.

“Please give us a PS5 and PC demo,” pleaded xvoltsy.

“PLLLEEEASSSE demo for console and PC users,” exclaimed ThePoppinGamer3.

“Waiting patiently for the Collector’s Edition reveal and the public demo release,” announced NeonGamer1990.

“Can't wait!!” yelled kinesis666Drag.

“Put me in a coma until the end of August, pleaseeeee?” asked SofiaBulut.

“I’m really hoping for a PS VR2 mode,” said a hopeful futureVrking.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on 27 February 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. I’ll have my fingers crossed that its demo arrives soon.
