You can get a chance to play Resident Evil Requiem nice and early; in fact, the new Capcom survival horror will be playable this month.
Resident Evil Requiem is the next entry in Capcom’s iconic survival horror series that began nearly three decades ago in 1996 on the original PlayStation. Since that time, it has become one of the most popular video game properties of all time.
Unofficially dubbed “Resident Evil 9” before it was officially revealed by Capcom, Resident Evil Requiem takes us back to Raccoon City for the first time in a mainline entry, since it was nuked in Resident Evil 2.
“Requiem for the dead. Nightmare for the living,” reads the ominous description of the game. “Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core.”

Resident Evil Requiem will star a brand-new protagonist named Grace Ashcroft, who, as far as we know, is no relation to the antagonists of Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Grace is the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, a playable character from Resident Evil Outbreak.
The release of Resident Evil Requiem is several months away, at the time of writing. However, if you live near Seattle, Washington, in the United States, you have a chance to play the highly anticipated horror before most other fans.
As confirmed on the official Resident Evil social media channels, there will not only be a panel at PAX West 2025 but also a playable demo for those who are able to attend the convention.
