This new mod for Fallout 4 gives you so much more to explore when you’re out in the Commonwealth, perfect for a new playthrough.

You’ve probably got plenty of more playthroughs left too because God knows Fallout 5 isn’t coming out anytime soon!

Bethesda seemingly can’t get the next Elder Scrolls game out either as it’s still using the same teaser trailer show in updates for the game

What are you going to do though? Might as well boot up Fallout 4 for the umpteenth time but enhance your experience with some jolly good expansions.

The one we’re talking about today is called Beyond The Border, and it does exactly what it says in the title by expanding the size of Fallout 4’s map, giving you more to see, more to fight and more to collect as you play through the story.

I’ll let the description of the mod do the talking, which reads: “Expands the map beyond the borders to the NORTH only, 20+ new locations, enemies and weapons and voice acted NPCs. Mod is complete and not a WIP.”

It sounds very promising, and exactly what you’d be looking for in an expansion as you don’t have to explore the new areas if you don’t want to but it’s there if you do.

Add it to the official expansion for Fallout 4 by Bethesda and maybe one or two of the others created by modders and you’ve got a sizable playthrough on your hands.

If Fallout 4 just isn’t your cup of tea though you could always revisit one of the older Fallout games like Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas, both of which have their charm despite being dated by today’s standards.

Or you could be really bold and check out the original Fallout games that play completely different to what we know of the series today… that could be fun.
