Fallout is currently in the midst of its second season, and it’s causing many of us to flock to New Vegas.

The show is essentially functioning as a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas with Lucy and The Ghoul heading off to the wasteland’s answer to Sin City in search of Lucy’s father, Hank.

Justin Theroux is a scene stealer as Robert House, with the season so far having also welcomed in iconic Fallout creatures like deathclaws and radscorpions.

With all of this in mind, there are some of us who are returning to New Vegas, stepping back into the shoes of The Courier, while others are picking the game up for the first time, motivated by the show’s events.

If you’re in the former camp, you might want to download a mod I’ve unearthed before you embark on a fresh runthrough, although that’s not to say newbies can’t benefit from this too; I just believe in vanilla playthroughs the first time around.

When you think of Fallout: New Vegas, your mind probably drifts away to thoughts about survival or mediating between tense factions.

What if, however, I told you you could rizz your way through the game?

You’ve Got Your Pick of the Bunch

‘Talk of the Town - Relationships Romance and More’ is a new mod created by NexusMods user DreyDubs that essentially allows you to romance any in-game NPC.

“Talk of the Town is a social expansion for Fallout: New Vegas that adds romance and friendship mechanics to every NPC,” the creator writes.

“Build your reputation and unlock unique, relationship-based dialogue options that bring a fresh, personal aspect to the game.

“This mod doesn't change any of the game's core features, it only builds on top of it for maximum compatibility with other mods.”

The mod adds three tiers of friendship, made possible by the addition of a ‘Talker the Town’ item to your Pip-Boy.

There’s the no friendship tier, friends, and best friends with each new tier unlocking new dialogue options and actions.

If you reach the friendship stage, you’ll be able to recruit that person as a companion as well as access their inventory. What’s yours is mine, etc.

As for those special actions, they may be able to heal you or they may unlock a workbench, for example, that you can use whenever they’re travelling with you.

When you reach the best friend stage, NPCs will give you daily gifts and you can teach them skills.

As for romance, it works very similarly. There are three tiers: no romance, romantic interest, and lovers.

At the romantic interest stage, you can lock lips with an NPC with the creator hoping to add additional perks in the future.

Finally, at the lovers stage, you can, um, boink the NPC, have a baby, and tell them “I love you” for a stat boost.

All in all, it sounds like a comprehenisely made mod, so it might be one to switch up your next playthrough.
