Pokémon Pokopia is finally getting its first DLC next month, and it’s going to be quite a hefty expansion.
Bubbly Basin adds a wide variety of new, aquatic Pokémon to Pokopia, so you’re going to need to build several more houses…
Luckily, the DLC also adds a new town for you to repair and expand, which you’ll be able to explore by making use of the new Dive move. This allows Ditto to walk across riverbeds and ocean floors, which is currently impossible in the base game.
Below you’ll find a list of all the Pokémon confirmed to be joining the game when 'Bubbly Basin' drops. It’s not a complete list, as some are yet to be revealed, but so far, there are 20 new ones to encounter. The list was collated by makio_jroses on X.
- Totodile
- Starmie
- Chinchou
- Lanturn
- Corsola
- Mudkip
- Marshtomp
- Carvanha
- Sharpedo
- Corphish
- Feebas
- Milotic
- Buizel
- Lumineon
- Manaphy
- Frillish
- Poppio
- Primarina
- Golispod
- Dhelmise
All of the above Pokémon have been seen in either the trailers or promotional material, but there are a few more that feel like safe bets.
Advert
The evolutions for Totodile and Poppio feel likely as they’re Starter Pokémon from previous games, and we’d be surprised if Oshawatt and their evolutions don’t make the cut too.
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company haven’t confirmed the total number of new Pokémon to expect, but we’d imagine it’ll be an impressive sum given how long we’ve waited for this expansion.
While underwater exploration using the new Dive move is available for all players as a free update, the Pokémon seen above are locked behind the 'Bubbly Basin' DLC pack. Both the free update and the DLC expansion will launch on August 5, and those yet to pick up the Expansion Pass can do so for $34.99/£29.99. A little steep on the pricing, but it sounds like buying DLC 3, there’ll be a lot of new content available in the game.
Some new in-game events were also confirmed for August, such as Fetching Scales for Feebas. It’ll run from August 13 to August 28 and should net you some sweet rewards in exchange for helping the Water-Type Pokémon out.
Pokémon Pokopia teases DLC Pack 2
After the overview trailer for the first DLC pack yesterday, a tease for the following DLC was shared as well.
A name hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’ll be centred around fashion. The brief teaser said, “wear accessories with other Pokémon and enjoy fashion together.” Sounds like a fashion show is in the works. Snubbell was also confirmed to be joining the game’s roster.
The second DLC expansion will release in late 2026, so we can probably expect it around October/November this year.
Nothing was teased about the third and final expansion, though that’s still on track for launch sometime in 2027
It remains to be seen if this will be the only Expansion Pass released for the game or if another one will follow.
