Nintendo drops Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom free download you can claim now

Finally...

Nintendo has gifted Legend Of Zelda fans an absolute chonker of a freebie, one that’ll keep them occupied for hours.

The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom is one of the greatest games Nintendo has ever made, and it has to be the best game on the Nintendo Switch.

I don’t want to hear any of that “Zelda: Breath Of The Wild was better” nonsense. It wasn’t, Tears Of The Kingdom took everything Breath Of The Wild did right and expanded upon it in all the right places.

Arguments aside though, you’ll soon be able to play both games on better hardware when the upgraded Nintendo Switch 2 versions drop, but while we wait for the Nintendo Switch 2’s launch day there’s a Zelda freebie you’ll want to see.

It’s none other than the complete soundtrack for Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, now available via the Nintendo Music app.

Nintendo Music is the exclusive music player for Nintendo Switch Online members only, and lets you listen to some of the latest and greatest Nintendo soundtracks at no additional cost.

It gets updated regularly and features tracks from Super Mario, Zelda, Splatoon and other Nintendo IPs; even some of the retro titles get representation.

Now it’s Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom’s turn to be added, with over 300 tracks to listen to that’ll give you nearly 12 hours of tunes, great for some background noise while you’re working.

That’s not all that’s coming either as when the Nintendo Switch 2 launches and we get our upgraded Zelda games, we’ll also have access to Zelda Notes, a digital tool that’ll help you navigate Hyrule as well as give you extra lore you can’t find in the games.

For now though, don’t sleep on the Nintendo Music app. There are some bangers on there, especially Tear Of The Kingdom’s 'The Final Fall (Last Catch)' track.
