The next Cyberpunk game has potential to be the greatest RPG ever made, provided CD Projekt Red takes their time of course.

The next Cyberpunk game has potential to be the greatest RPG ever made, provided CD Projekt Red takes their time of course.

That being said, the world of Cyberpunk is just as big as ours, and as impressive as it is visually it’d be nice to see what lurks beyond the walls of Night City.

A new trailer for Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws dropped yesterday, check it out below

Even if we say the next game should remain within the United States of America, there’s still a lot of land to work with, and plenty of potential cities that could be sci-fied for a Cyberpunk game.

That being said, it's unclear what exactly CD Projekt Red plans to do for the next game, as all we know is it’ll reportedly use Unreal Engine 5, and will have much better quality assurance this time around.

Despite it probably being several years before we even catch a glimpse of the game it hasn’t stopped fans from spitballing ideas for where the next game could be set, that isn’t Night City.

The suggestions were made in a Reddit post by DemiPyramid, and really delved into the Bladerunner 2049 aesthetic that likely inspired bits of the game.

One fan said they’d love to see Detroit, as according to the lore it’s a “walled off combat zone much like Dogtown in 2077” and it’d be interesting to see what’s happened to it since.

Another suggestion was Atlanta which is mentioned by V several times throughout the story.

Finally one player simply said: “Florida. I wanna be the Florida man with mantis blades,” an admirable suggestion.

Who knows what CD Projekt Red are planning for the sequel, but I’d personally love to see it take a page out of Fallout’s book and do a Cyberpunk version of Las Vegas.
