Taking the wasteland to the tabletops

Fallout fans are often found wanting as it has been a handful of years since Fallout 4 was released and the fifth part of the franchise is in the distant future according to Bethesda. So, what can these fans do in the meantime?

Well, it’s worth making the jump from consoles and PC over to tabletop entertainment as there’s a new Fallout game coming soon for fans and newcomers to board games. Fallout: Factions is taking everything you love about the series and bringing it to your tabletop designed by James Hewitt, the veteran designer behind Necromunda and Adeptus Titanicus.

Fallout fans can take the action to the tabletop while they wait for Fallout 5

Fallout: Factions is going to bring players to Nuka-World in a PvP skirmish game that will pit players against each other using some truly lovely miniature models. According to the game’s website fans can expect a game “Using standard ten-sided dice and featuring a streamlined resolution system, Fallout: Factions is great for both beginners interested in exploring miniature wargaming and veterans looking for fast games full of tactical nuance. Build your crew, select your ploys, and watch your team grow into a legendary fighting force across multiple fast and furious PvP matches.”

Each battle your crew takes part in is just a small part of an overarching storyline that will become a campaign for you and your friends to follow as you battle for “the top of the pile”. With several crews to choose from, you can really make them your own through personality and painting designs.

The game comes with everything you need to play including the models and some scenery, along with a board measuring 24”x36” and it’s designed for each game to last around 40 minutes, so you can get in plenty of skirmishes over an evening. It’s a lovely set and perfect for any fan of Fallout, or board games.
