The Avengers' movies always serve to offer up conclusions to major ongoing storylines in the various Marvel franchises, and that often means that stars who may have been out of the superhero loop for a while make a return.
As such, the films are treated with the utmost secrecy for the most part, with those producing it offering up almost nothing about what fans can expect when they pour into cinemas.
That doesn't mean we never get information early though, and it usually comes in one of two ways. The first is anonymous leaks (or occasionally hacks) that drop tidbits about what we can expect from the story, whilst the other is from the mouths of the stars themselves.
Tom Holland is very well known for not being able to keep spoilers to himself, often blurting things out on some of the most popular interview shows in the world, or even during more organised, tightly-controlled junkets.

Now, Jeremy Renner, known for taking on the role of Hawkeye across several Marvel movies, may have accidentally intimated that he is set to reprise the role in the upcoming release of Avengers: Doomsday.

Back With Bow in Hand
In a recent conversation with Cinema Blend, Renner opened up about his close relationship with many of the confirmed cast for Doomsday, saying, "Yeah, well, they're very dear, dear, dear friends of mine. I got to catch up with them. Actually, I was on the book tour when they were filming in London.

"So I gotta break bread with all of the boys on that show. So it was good to see everybody. And we have a forever bond.
"So whether we're filming or not, we're always connected."
That has led to significant speculation about whether he was actually able to catch-up with them whilst also filming some scenes of his own, including over on the MCUTheories Reddit page, where fans can't decide how much to read into it.
"He could’ve just been visiting the set. Hence the 'whether we’re filming or not' either way is anyone actually surprised if he’s is in it? Not enough news to make a huge deal out of imo," one comment read.

"Seems to me like he's saying they're close whether they're on set filming together or not.
"Meaning just because he's not there with them, doesn't mean their bond is gone.
"Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know the context and am just going off on what I see here," another added.
Whatever does happen, Hawkeye is a popular character with the fan base and it would be a notable addition if he was to appear by the time Doomsday rolls around.
