There is still well over a year to go until Avengers: Doomsday finally arrives at cinemas but it seems as though a big milestone will be arriving a lot sooner than we thought.

Marking the first Avengers movie since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Doomsday will see some of our favourite superheroes come together to take on the mighty threat of Robert Downey Jr’.s Doctor Doom.

The fifth entry in the Avengers movie series will star the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers and X-Men and will mark the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Six.

However, with Avengers: Doomsday not expected to hit cinemas until December 2026, we still have quite some time to see if it will live up to the record-breaking hype of Avengers: Endgame.

Nevertheless, a trailer may just make the pain of waiting a bit easier and a recent leak reveals that it may be arriving a lot sooner than we had hoped.

With filming for Avengers: Doomsday recently wrapping up, the team has well over 18-months to work on post-production and in the meantime, Marvel insider Daniel Richtman has some information about the highly-anticipated first trailer.

According to a new report, Marvel Studio aims to release a ‘first look’ at Avengers: Doomsday alongside the cinema release of Avatar: Fire and Ash.

The third Avatar instalment arrives in cinemas on 19 December and marks the last major Disney movie to be released in 2025.

However, those lucky enough to see it in cinemas may just get more than what they bargained for with their very first glance at Avengers: Doomsday in action.

Although Avatar: Fire and Ash does not arrive in cinemas until 19 December, this teaser trailer could be revealed as early as 8 to 12 December and it would definitely be an incentive for cinema goers to check out the new Avatar entry.

Either way, if this report is to be believed, the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer will be released over a year ahead of its launch which is something that none of us saw coming.

Of course, this has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios so it is worth taking with a pinch of salt.

Nevertheless, the trailer is the next highly anticipated release from Marvel with fans desperate to see some of our favourite superheroes face their biggest threat yet.

Avengers: Doomsday is expected to hit cinemas on 18 December 2026 with its sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars following on 17 December 2027.
