An Avengers: Doomsday leak suggests that it may have an even bigger cast than we expected, and that’s saying something.

Earlier this year, Marvel Studios and Disney revealed much of the large cast that will feature in the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday in a five and a half hour livestream. Yes, you read that right, five and a half hours!

Some of those names included Robert Downey Jr, who will play Doctor Doom, as well as Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto), Sir Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), and many more.

In total, well over 20 names were revealed during the Avengers: Doomsday livestream; however, according to an apparent leak, that list of ever-expanding names is about to get a lot bigger.

As brought to our attention by the Twitter account of Louai Turkmani (via DanielRPK), the already confirmed cast may be joined by Chris Evans, who previously played Captain America/Steve Rogers and Human Torch/Johnny Storm. Other cameos were also teased.

It’s rumoured that one of those cameos will be for Ghost Rider, a character that Marvel fans have wanted to return in the MCU for years.

Originally, the role of Johnny Blaze was played by Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider (2007) and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011). Ghost Rider also played a role in the TV series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., by Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes.

It’s unclear what version of Ghost Rider might appear in Avengers: Doomsday (if at all). It could be the one portrayed by Nicolas Cage or Gabriel Luna. Those in charge could even cast a new actor in the role; only time will tell.

“This is a new Ghost Rider who stays past Avengers: Secret Wars,” said a hopeful TulsaTalks, replying to the tweet above.

“Nic Cage?” asked firewater2012, to which Louai Turkmani responded with “I think it’s gonna be a new actor, but if it’s him, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

“How could Chris Evans have a big role if he was not in the announced list?” said Patricetienne1. “He’s probably gonna be a Hydra version, but they don't want to spoil it,” suggested SnorreTBrekke.

It’s worth keeping in mind that all unconfirmed rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. As soon as we get an official update, we’ll be sure to let you know.

At this time, Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released on 18 December 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars on 17 December 2027.
