Marvel Planning "Several" Games With EA

Marvel Planning "Several" Games With EA

EA have confirmed that their upcoming Iron Man title is the first of several new games being made in collaboration with Marvel Games.

Yesterday, we got the incredibly exciting news that EA is collaborating with Marvel Games to produce an Iron Man game. In a press release, EA confirmed that the third-person, single-player action-adventure will “feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of Iron Man, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man”.

ICYMI, Captain America and Black Panther are getting their own game, too - check out the teaser below.

However, the hype doesn’t stop there. The same announcement also confirmed that the Iron Man game is actually “the first of several new games” to come from “an exciting new collaboration between Marvel and Electronic Arts”. So, there are multiple new Marvel games coming.

At the moment though, we unfortunately don’t know what any of these other titles are, but fans are sure to be busy speculating. Perhaps we could see Thor starring in his own game, or even Doctor Strange? Given how expansive the Marvel universe (and multiverse) is, there’s some fantastic options to pick from, so we’ll have to see what EA come up with.

Of course, there are a number of non-EA Marvel games currently in development, too. From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, to Marvel’s Wolverine and the untitled Captain America and Black Panther game, it’s an amazing time to be a Marvel fan.
