Barry Keoghan, who plays Joker in The Batman, actually auditioned for The Riddler in the first instance, and the video has been sitting on the Internet for years without fans paying any notice to it.
Of course, that's all changed since the actor made mention of it in an interview with GQ. While the future of the Eternals series is cast in shadow due to a poor box office performance and the artistic divergence of the film from typical Marvel fare, Keoghan is over the moon with the reception to his gleeful Joker.
Sure, Batman's a bit highly strung, but he does have his moments. Take a look at this cosplayer who makes people's days with hilarious skits!
“There were seven and I was number four,” said Keoghan, referring to a listicle that he sent to director Matt Reeves that rated all of the Jokers across all of the Batman films. “Lads, with four minutes of screen time, not bad eh!?”

It's curious then that the actor had his eye on a different ne'er do well. When he heard that there was a new Batman film in the offing, he sent a video audition of himself strolling down a corridor, garbed in black and green formal attire and severe eyeliner. You can find it at that link.
Nothing came of it, unfortunately, until Keoghan got a call from his agent while he was having dinner with a friend in New York. "The Batman wants you to play the Joker - but you cannot tell anyone," the agent said. I would have found it exceptionally difficult to finish my spaghetti and meatballs after hearing that.
