Fans just can’t seem to agree on when Rockstar Games might reveal a third trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, or what they’ll even include in said trailer… mostly because they don’t think there will be a “third” trailer.
Alright, lemme explain, because I know that sounds weird.
Obviously, we will get more trailers for Grand Theft Auto VI. With a semi-concrete release date set in stone, it stands to reason that Rockstar Games and Take-Two will drop some more trailers at some point to, at the very least, announce that pre-orders for the game are live.

However, over in a thread on the r/GTA subreddit theorising the date of the next trailer for the game, fans seem to think that Rockstar Games will ditch their naming scheme for the next one.
“Maybe there won't be trailer 3 but instead Lucia and Jason trailer. And close to game's release: gameplay trailer”, commented user Glittering-Tear-2568.
“The Gameplay trailers for GTA5 and RDR2 came out 2-3 months before release. I don’t know if they will do additional character trailers because with GTA5, they really wanted to emphasize the 3 characters as being radically different personalities and with each having their own motivations and arcs”, replied user nummakayne.
“I don’t think they want to show Jason and Lucia in the same vein, the idea is to think of them as one team, not 3 very different dudes that can’t stand each other. I think what we got are the character trailers, showcasing the technology and general premise.”

I think there’s a chance they might be right this time around, which is very out of character for a GTA subreddit.
Specific trailers focusing on gameplay mechanics or the overall story of the game would make a lot of sense, considering we don’t actually know much regarding either at this point in time.
Several smaller trailers just makes a lot more sense to me, which could then potentially be followed by a “final” trailer that actually reveals that pre-orders are live. Of course, the Rockstar Games marketing department does like to do the last thing we expect, so at this point… who knows what their next move will be?
