Assassin’s Creed players have a keen eye for detail. Just last week, eagle-eyed fans convinced themselves that a remake of the original Assassin's Creed was in the works after Ubisoft put out a new trailer celebrating the franchise’s 15th anniversary which featured subtle changes to the game’s coloring and definition.
There are some secrets though that are simply too well hidden to spot or in this case, just downright impossible. It turns out that Assassin’s Creed's horses are hiding a major secret. Prepare yourselves folks because this is the definition of cursed.

Former Assassin's Creed developer Charles Randall has confirmed that the original game’s horses are made up of “a twisted f**ked up human skeleton.” I’m sorry, what?

According to Randall, the team faced technical limitations and didn’t exactly have the budget to make a custom skeleton, so the devs got creative and contorted a human one to get the same effect. “The horse in AC1 was just a twisted f**ked up human skeleton, because our tool chain only worked with biped in 3ds max. Cheers to the amazing animators and riggers that managed to make that guy look like a horse,” Randall said.
Randall also divulged that the budget didn’t stretch to allow them to create a mesh for character Malik’s missing arm, revealing that his missing arm “is just inside out.” Randall explained, “If you could get the camera to clip into him, you'd see a tiny little scrunched up arm inside the bicep.” Twitter user Mekishimo investigated what that might look like using Assassin’s Creed Valhalla … so I guess nothing has changed.
