Hogwarts Legacy hidden room discovered in the castle after hundreds of hours

One Hogwarts Legacy player has discovered a room hidden behind one of the fireplaces in Hogwarts castle.

Hogwarts Legacy has now been out for over four months, and fans are still finding new things hidden away in Hogwarts castle.

In the Harry Potter books and movies, Hogwarts always had seemingly millions of nooks and crannies to explore - with its moving staircases and constantly shifting layout, it was easy to imagine that hidden locations could materialise at pretty much any given point. Hogwarts Legacy’s open world has finally given fans a taste of this, and from day one, players have been investigating literally every brick within the castle in the hopes of uncovering something exciting.

Take a look around Hogsmeade in Hogwarts Legacy below.

Over on Reddit, user Shot_Bookkeeper_1368 has just discovered a room hidden behind a fireplace in the Faculty Tower, and they've been left stunned.

“I was today years old when I realised there was a hidden room behind Professor Sharp's fireplace in the Faculty Tower,” the user wrote, along with screenshots of their discovery. Their post has prompted others to go back to the game themselves to take a look: "Gotta check that out for myself!" one commented.

If you’re bored of Hogwarts Legacy’s base-game content already, then fans have been working on all sorts of different mods to spice things up a bit. Arguably the most exciting one is the Together Team’s multiplayer mod - although it’s still a work in progress, phenomenal strides have been made, and the team recently released a video showcasing functional multiplayer broom races.

Meanwhile, if you want to keep things single player, another mod (named Hogwarts Legacy Enhanced - Target and Improve Every Character) allows players to fight pretty much every teacher and student in the game. Each character has been given unique stats, so they’re all different to fight (unless you just blast them all with Avada Kedavra, anyway).

Hogwarts Legacy is available on PC and almost all console platforms - it’ll be landing on Nintendo Switch on 14 November.
