I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I do not understand what the plan is when it comes to Hogwarts Legacy.
Warner Bros. has been cancelling projects left, right, and centre, claiming that it only wants to focus on reliable, major IPs like Mortal Kombat, DC, and Harry Potter.
Okay, so why did they cancel a Wonder Woman game then? A DC property.

That cancellation was followed by a leak that claimed both paid DLC and a director’s cut of Hogwarts Legacy had also been cancelled - both belonging to the Harry Potter IP.
I hope you can see my confusion.
Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling new release of 2023. Regardless of whether DLC, a director’s cut, or both surfaced, it would’ve been easy money.
Yet, here we are. It’s widely believed that a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is in development, but nothing is on the way for the original base game.

Instead of adding post-launch content, devs dropped official mod tools which are great for those on PC.
It means PC users can access new quests, characters, items, and more; of course, those on PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch simply have to watch on forlornly.
If you are a PC player and want to fill the content chasm, you may want to check out ‘Expecto Patronum’.
Created by CurseForge user Beebub, the mod adds a new quest, dungeon, spell and boss battle.

“Venture through the Forbidden Forest on a new quest to discover your Patronus and defeat the ultimate wardens of Azkaban,” the description teases.
“You meet a new classmate in the Hogwarts Library who has made a mysterious discovery about an old spellbook. Join her through a harrowing journey in the Forbidden Forest to fight relentless enemies, solve the mystery of the spellbook, and discover your Patronus.”
You’ll, of course, get to make use of the Expecto Patronum spell, as well as explore a new area of the Forbidden Forest.
Dark wizards and dementors have been added as enemies, and Beebub Flipendo is your new voiced companion.

There are five voiced cutscenes featured in the quest, and new music.
Eventually, the creator hopes to add additional patronus types.
All in all though, this sounds like a fantastic mod so if you’re looking to give the game a new lease of life on PC, check it out.
