One of the biggest omissions from Hogwarts Legacy is the ability to explore Diagon Alley, one of the most iconic locations in the Harry Potter universe. However, a new free mod is finally giving players the chance to explore the fan-favourite wizarding location in-game.
When Hogwarts Legacy launched in February 2023, it became the dream action-adventure RPG for Harry Potter fans. Set in the 1890s, the game puts players in the role of a mysterious fifth-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; an unusual situation even by the magical school’s standards.
Players can explore Hogwarts Castle and its surrounding areas, as well as iconic Harry Potter locations including Hogsmeade Village and the Forbidden Forest. Yet despite the game’s expansive world, Diagon Alley has remained notably absent from Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy mod finally lets players explore Diagon Alley
That is, until now. Thanks to a new free mod, Hogwarts Legacy players can finally step into Diagon Alley and explore one of the Harry Potter franchise’s most recognisable locations.
The mod in question is called ‘Diagon Alley London & Knockturn Alley’, created by SilverxStardust and their team of modders. It’s available to download for free now via CurseForge.

The impressive mod lets players step inside and explore 15 shops, alongside the Daily Prophet lobby, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, the Leaky Cauldron and more. The modders have also teased that there are new secrets waiting to be discovered, giving Hogwarts Legacy fans even more reason to explore every corner.

Is ‘Diagon Alley London & Knockturn Alley’ available on all platforms?

Sadly, as is the case with most mods, Hogwarts Legacy mods are currently exclusive to PC and aren't available on PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch.
However, there could be a small glimmer of hope for console players.
Following the announcement of official mod support in February 2025, Hogwarts Legacy's official FAQ confirmed that mods are supported on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, while adding: “Please note, mods are not currently supported for the console versions of Hogwarts Legacy.”
That wording is admittedly something of a stretch, but the fact that it says “not currently supported” rather than ruling out console mod support entirely leaves the door slightly ajar.
For now, though, console players shouldn't get their hopes up. If official mod support ever does make its way to consoles, it could potentially arrive further down the line; perhaps even with Hogwarts Legacy 2.
For now, Hogwarts Legacy is available to play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
