Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series is without question one of the biggest and most profitable properties in the video game industry, if not the world of entertainment as a whole.

For years, fans and media outlets have speculated the arrival of the next entry in the ever-popular series, GTA VI. Following a flurry of unfortunate gameplay leaks that looked to be from a very early build of the game, Rockstar Games announced that GTA VI was in production back in February 2022.

However, it wasn't until earlier this month that Rockstar Games gave us another substantial update by announcing that the first official trailer for GTA VI will drop early next month. Of course, anticipation for that trailer is fever-pitch, but it might be wise to curb your enthusiasm. After all, we could just be treated to a Grand Theft Auto VI logo and a release window at best. Obviously, the ideal scenario would be to see at least a snippet of gameplay as well as a GTA VI release date.

At the time of writing, we do not have an exact date as to when the GTA VI trailer will drop, but it seems that Rockstar Games is getting ready for its big day. As spotted by Twitter user Gaming Detective, Rockstar Games has officially updated its website, presumably in anticipation of the upcoming trailer.

While that’s not much to go on, known Rockstar Games leaker of information Ben aka videotechuk on Twitter shared their opinions on the updated website. “They did this with the Trilogy if I recall. Definitely aiming for something soon,” Ben replied. “Also, I wonder if the website team is allocating more server space in time for the trailer. The website can be quite fragile during big reveals.” In other words, preparing for a potential website crash caused by increased online traffic.

Hopefully, Rockstar Games will give us an update in the coming days with the exact date as to when the GTA VI trailer will grace us with its presence. Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released between 2024 and 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
