GTA 6 Gets New Teaser Ahead of Trailer 3

We can't wait...

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick is teasing good things for Grand Theft Auto fans, in addition to more Rockstar Games projects.

GTA VI should have launched later this year before it was delayed to 26 May 2026, and while it came as a shock to many to see the game pushed back, it’s ultimately for the best.

There’s a lot riding on 2026’s likely Game Of The Year, so Rockstar Games is right to give it the time it needs.

While Rockstar tends to stay radio-silent on its projects, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently had some interesting things to say about the game in an interview with CNBC.

Zelnick spoke about the success of the GTA VI’s second trailer, saying, “We had 475 million views in 24 hours for trailer two. Setting a new record, breaking the internet. These are good things.”

The CEO went on to discuss the game’s new release date of 26 May 2026, and when asked if the game will meet its deadline this time, he said, “My level of conviction is very, very high obviously.”

Zelnick closed out his remarks by praising the work Rockstar has put into its projects so far, adding, “Rockstar’s whole stock and trade is to have these extraordinary expectations and still to beat them. I know that’s their goal, I know it’s going to be an amazing game. The rest we’ll see in the fullness of time.”

It’s an exciting tease of what’s to come, though I don’t think anyone was really doubting the quality of GTA VI; it’s going to be a masterpiece, no doubt.

Interestingly, though, there was mention of additional Rockstar Games projects currently in the works. While the main focus is still GTA VI, it’s clear other games are being considered including some new-gen versions of existing games like Red Dead Redemption 2. Hopefully, we hear more of those soon.
