Bloodborne 2 Be Damned, We're Getting The Next Best Thing

We're back baby

Horror fans all over the world have almost given up waiting for Bloodborne 2 or at least a Bloodborne remaster.

However, we may have just received the next best thing courtesy of a brand-new IP just announced at 2025’s Gamescom event.

It may not take place in the Victorian era but it seems as though we will get to fight monstrous and uniquely designed monsters in the guise of one cool looking protagonist wielding a sword.

Titled La Divina Commedia, fans of the classics may notice that this brand-new IP will be based on Dante’s Divine Comedy so we can only imagine what we will get to see in this upcoming release.

The upcoming third-person action game is described as a soulslike and, as mentioned, is based on none other than Dante’s Inferno so players can look forward to a whole lot of tragedy as well as beauty.

The brief trailer showcased some of the monsters and, most importantly, combat that we can expect from La Divina Commedia as our unnamed protagonist, garbed in a laurel-esque crown and with lips sewn together, can be seen battling a horse reminiscent of Mari Lwyd from Welsh mythology.

Sliding through legs, slashing and hacking and excellent manoeuvrability seems to be key to success in this brand-new IP as it is not long before our hero takes down the monstrous creature.

With rich golds and burning reds, it will not be surprising that the trailer was based in the pits of hell and I, for one, cannot wait to see how this story unfolds.

La Divina Commedia has not yet received a release date but it is already available to wishlist on Steam right now so if you are a fan of horror, miss Bloodborne daily or are a fan of classic literature, this is not one to miss out on.
